Full Circle Foundation

An opportunity to “ Serve Those Who Serve Us”

Somewhere at the bottom of every Empire Hospitality email, you’ll find five little words that play a big part in how we do business: “Serving Those Who Serve Us.” Sure, it’s a catchy slogan. Yes, it’s a cool idea, but it’s actually much more than that to us. Over the years, Empire Hospitality has donated thousands of dollars to veteran-based charities across the country, each chosen by our employees. In an effort to formalize its giving approach, Empire started the Full Circle Foundation, a 501c3 Non-Profit with the goal of honoring veterans through donations and awareness programming.

The Full Circle Foundation uses two distinct approaches to achieve this goal:

Fund Matching from Partner Hotels

Empire Hospitality asks its hotel partners in the MEPS program to donate to Full Circle
Foundation through a fund match based on consumed room nights. When a Hotel
chooses to participate they donate a predetermined amount for every room night
consumed annually, which Empire then matches. The aggregate amount will be donated
to a veteran-based charity in that local market.

Here is an example of how it works:
Jacksonville MEPS produces 8000 room nights per annum. Hotel and Empire each
commit to $.50 per room night for each night. Full Circle receives the donation of $4,000
from each entity, and donates $8,000 to veterans-based charities in Jacksonville Florida.

Hospital Recognition Program

This program aims to recognize hospital patients who are veterans. In conjunction with
local hospitals, we provide an American flag to be prominently displayed outside the room
of any veteran patient (if they would like it). We also donate a burial quality flag for each
floor to be used when a veteran passes away while at the hospital. These flags are draped
over the gurney during transport from the hospital to their transitional resting place. We
are honored to contribute in this small way to the dignity and recognition each veteran
deserves.

After favorable feedback from the pilot hospital, The Full Circle Foundation is excited to
implement this program with more hospitals, locally and nationally.

Employee Designated Donations.

Empire also makes regular donations to Full Circle Foundation and gives opportunity for its
employees to choose a charity to support each month.

needs of veterans. Here are some of our employee chosen charities:
